At 11:30 am (4:30 am in Madison) this plane which transported me across the Atlantic landed at Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris.

À 11h30 cet avion qui m’a transporté au-dessus de l’Atlantique a atterri à Paris. 

Fruit markets on the sidewalk let me know that I was in France.

Les marchés de fruits m’ont indiqué que j’étais bien en France.

Jean Jachymiak and I are second cousins. We share a great-grandfather, Edward Kosinski, who lived in Nowy Targ, Poland. Jean’s paternal grandmother, Władysława Kosinska Jachymiak, was the sister of my paternal grandfather, Józef Kosinski.

Jean Jachymiak et moi sommes deuxièmes cousins. Nous partageons un arrière-grand-père, Edward Kosinski, qui a habité a Nowy Targ en Pologne. La grand-mère paternelle de Jean, Władysława Kosinska Jachymiak, était la sœur de mon grand-père, Józef Kosinski.

This beautiful building was built in 1896. Jean and Nicole live here on the 5^th floor.

Ce beau bâtiment a été construit en 1896. Jean et Nicole habitent ici au cinquième étage.

After an excellent dinner at home, we went out for a walk.

Après un diner excellent, nous sommes allés faire une promenade.

At 9:00 pm, the streets and cafes are filled with young people.

A 21 heures, les rues et les cafés sont remplis de jeunes.

Zach! Notice the DJ blasting tunes out onto the sidewalk.
